Hurun India and Edelgive have released the seventh edition of the list of philanthropists. Azim Premji has donated a total of 7,904 crores. This year, the total donations of the people included in the list has increased by 175 percent and it has increased to Rs 12,050 crore. Last year, the number of people who donated more than 10 crores was 37, which has increased to 78 this year.
The maximum number of 36 people in this list is from Mumbai (Mumbai), while Delhi is second and Bengaluru (Bangalore) is third. In this list, Binny Bansal is the only philanthropist, whose age is less than 40 years (37 years). 28 philanthropists have joined this list for the first time. Among these newcomers is Infosys SD Shibulal, who has donated Rs 32 crore. After them comes Amit and Archana Chandra of ATE Chandra Foundation, who have donated Rs 27 crore. Ram Beriwala and Shyam Sundar Beriwala of Shyam Steels have donated Rs 19 crore.
